Owner / Chef
I’m Charles Schmidt, the heart and hands behind Velvet Whisk. After more than 20 years in the hospitality industry and earning my culinary degree, I wanted to create something deeply personal: a concept that celebrates plant-based indulgence without compromise. Velvet Whisk is my love letter to food — proof that decadent treats can also be kind to the planet.
Here, every recipe is thoughtfully developed from scratch, using wholesome, high-quality ingredients that are 100% vegan. We believe in creating with intention, crafting desserts that nourish your soul and leave you feeling good inside and out. From our artisan cookies to our decadent ganaches and seasonal specialties, each treat is made with care, creativity, and a sprinkle of joy. We're committed to sourcing organic and sustainable ingredients whenever possible, using eco-friendly packaging, and keeping our menu inclusive with delicious gluten-free options.
